It's Elementary (Documentary)
This documentary’s aim is to educate teachers on how to incoroporate LGBTQ education into the curriculum. Specifically noting how to introduce topics and engage in age appropriate discussions among the class.
Leanne Iskander
A 16-year-old teen, living in Mississauga, Ontario, began fighting against her school’s decision to ban a Gay Straight Alliance program. She believes in inclusive curriculums, and fights for the rights of the LGBTQ community. Being a social justice oriented citizen and student, Leanne fought for her equality rights, and all others who stood with her in solidarity, using media to gain Nationwide awareness.
Storm
A Toronto family has chosen to raise their child gender neutral, allowing them to decide what clothes to wear, what toys to play with, and what gender they will identify with. Will this affect Storm’s education? If so, how, and what are the implications of this on other students and the school community?
Anderson Cooper: Transgendered Child
In 2011, Anderson Cooper filmed an episode entitled, “Children and Teens trapped in the wrong body”. This video created much backlash from the LGBTQ community.
